Short answer? Yes, blogs are an important tool for marketing.
We encourage all of our clients to publish new blogs on their site regularly. Blogs can help establish credibility, build relationships with new and existing customers, and improve search engine rankings. By providing valuable content and answers to common industry questions, businesses can attract and retain customers while positioning themselves as thought leaders and experts in their field. Additionally, blogs allow individuals and businesses to share their thoughts and experiences with a wider audience. Blog posts can be shared on social media platforms and other websites, helping to build brand awareness and drive more traffic to a business’s website.
How do Blogs Impact SEO?
Appearing at the top of a Google search is a goal for most business owners, but it is hard to do. The magicians at Google are constantly changing the algorithm in hopes that marketers like us won’t crack it. Thats where blogs come in. Blogging opens up a lot of opportunities to boost your rankings. When you add new, relevant content to your site of 250+ words, Google re-crawls your site. If it sees you are providing relevant high-quality content then there is a higher chance it will bump you up in search engine results. Blogs that include relevant keywords and phrases help to improve a website’s search engine rankings, leading to increased visibility and traffic.
How to write a good blog?
To write a good blog, start by choosing a topic that you are passionate about and that your audience will find interesting. A great way to do this is to make a list of your most commonly asked questions. Ask yourself what is a piece of industry knowledge that my clients would be interested in knowing. Or even what is a specific question my client would type into Google? Next, craft a catchy headline and introduction that will grab their attention. You can see here that for our headline we used a question we thought a potential client may ask. When writing the blog, make sure to use clear and concise language and break up your content with subheadings, bullet points, and images. Provide value to your readers by providing useful information, insights, or entertainment. End with a strong call-to-action that encourages engagement or further reading. Lastly, proofread and edit your work to ensure it is polished and error-free.
How often should you post a new blog?
It ultimately depends on your goals and resources, but a general rule of thumb is to aim for at least one to two post per month to maintain consistency and engagement with your audience.
